STRUCTURED COASTAL MONITORING / FIELD SCIENCE

Every coastal visit can become measurable evidence.

Document real sampling effort, track encounter notes, prepare Darwin Core candidate data and continue to the existing reporting system. Zero-sighting surveys are valid results.

01 / COASTAL MISSION WORKFLOW

Plan an actual field visit.

A scientific observation needs a documented protocol, not a made-up map marker. All inputs stay in your browser until explicitly transferred or exported.

Field context
Record a real encounter

Use only observed evidence, including uncertain identifications. Entries remain unreviewed local candidates.

Review and export

Export a research candidate, not a verified sighting. Public-safe JSON and CSV omit coordinates unless you opt in to coarsening.

04 — Longitudinal field registry

Archive completed, actual field visits to establish repeatable monitoring. A visit with zero sightings is a valid record. This history is stored only in this browser and is never counted as platform users or verified observations.

Archive limit: 60 visits per browser. Local browser storage is not a durable research database — export backups regularly. Public exports omit site names, original field remarks and exact coordinates by default. The app does not authenticate fieldwork or identify wildlife with certainty.
