Keep the field app and Network healthy.
Network status
Open Profile to see whether you are signed in and whether local observations have synced. Guest mode remains usable when the Network is unavailable.
Common fixes
- Cannot sign in: check your internet connection and the Network API status. Your local field data are not erased by a failed login.
- A report did not sync: keep the local report; sign in and use the Profile sync action again. Only explicitly published reports become Network records.
- Photo upload fails: the server accepts ordinary image files up to its configured limit and safely re-encodes uploads.
- Map is blank: connect once so map resources/tiles can load. Saved observations and field tools remain available.
- Location does not work: grant foreground location only when requested, or enter coordinates manually.
- GBIF / OBIS / Sea Now unavailable: those are independent third-party services. Network and local reports remain separate.
- Expert access: submit an application from the Expert Network view. Approval must come from an AegeanGuard administrator after real credential review.
- Before reinstalling: export your local backup. Signed-in users can also export Network account data from Profile.
Send feedback
From the AegeanGuard sidebar choose Feedback to report a bug, confusing screen, species-content issue or feature idea. Optional diagnostic context can be included to help reproduce the problem.
Privacy & account controls
Use Profile → Export account data for a copy of server-side account data. Accounts can be exported and deleted from Profile; an external deletion page is also available. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms & Community Guidelines before a public deployment.
Operator contact
The public deployment operator must publish a real support contact and legal identity in the store listing/deployment metadata.
